LTA Level 3 Accredited Tennis Coach

I coach juniors and adults at Ravenscourt Park, one-to-one or in groups of up to four. If you can hold a racket, or your kid can nearly hold one, that's plenty to start with.

Mondays, Thursdays & Saturdays · 1 hour lessons · 1 to 4 players

Who I coach

Three kinds of lesson. Same coach, same courts.

Juniors

Kids are my speciality. My lessons are mostly games with proper technique hidden inside them, because that's how children actually learn. Your kid will hit a lot of balls. You're welcome to stay and watch.

Adult beginners & improvers

Never played, or not since school? Honestly, that's fine. First lesson we just hit balls and see where you are. Nobody's judging your serve, least of all me.

Intermediate players

You can rally, but you've stopped improving. In my experience that's usually tactics, not talent. We'll tidy your strokes, then work on where to hit the ball and why.

A lifetime on court, now spent coaching

I've played tennis all my life. It started at school and never stopped. Every summer since, week in, week out, I've been on a court somewhere. I've played with my children as they've grown up, and my oldest friends are people I met across the net.

A couple of years ago I made it official and got my LTA Level 3 coaching licence. Now I coach at Ravenscourt Park Tennis.

I coach the way I'd want to be coached. Start where you are. Keep the ball moving. Explain why, not just how. If tennis is your Saturday morning hobby, wonderful. If your kid wants to get serious, we can do that too.

I've never played before. Is that okay?

Yes, truly. First lesson is relaxed. We'll hit balls, have a laugh, and find your level. Nobody expects you to know the rules.

Do I need my own racket?

To confirm [PLACEHOLDER: confirm with William whether rackets can be borrowed for early lessons.]

Can I book for my child?

Yes. Book through the same page and come along with them on the day. I coach kids from complete beginners to young competitors.

Where do we meet?

The courts are on the south side of Ravenscourt Park, near the garden centre and the railway arches, a short walk from Ravenscourt Park tube. The address is 17 Ravenscourt Ave, London W6 0SL. To confirm [PLACEHOLDER: exact meeting spot, e.g. which court or by the clubhouse.]
